BLA H&S Peer Review, Melton Ross, Lincolnshire
The BLA recently held the next Health & Safety Peer Review session at the Singleton Birch site at Melton Ross, Lincolnshire. 17 attendees - Senior Operators, H&S staff from all members companies and BLA representatives - were present.
Following a site walk around looking at the kilns, hydration and bagging plants, the attendees compared notes and fed back their observations as part of a collective learning experience. The feedback session was also attended by the BLA Chairman, Richard Stansfield who stressed the way the BLA were leading H&S improvements throughout Europe over the past couple of years. The aim is to have such peer reviews at all member sites as part of the BLA drive to continually improve H&S measures throughout the sector.
